VIRTUES    

[The four cardinal Virtues are shown in the picture above, but, there are many others like Faith, Hope, Forgiveness, Persistance and Love. These verses show a greater understanding of their qualities.]

You see us all 

More clearly now 

Through Virtue’s glasses 

We show you how 

To excel and bypass 

Vices many 

To seek pure Paths 

Where there aren’t any 

Invisible to eyes 

Which cannot see 

Are ways of golden 

Opportunity 

Your Age corrupt 

And sinking low 

Can never show 

The Way to go 

No competition awaits 

A Virtue-led Soul 

For guaranteed riches 

Are in your control 

These riches extend 

Beyond money you know 

They lie in revealing 

The Way one should go 

When confronted by darkness 

Without any light 

You carry your Candle 

And use your insight 

The darkness escapes you 

It flees and it flies 

It can’t stand your Presence 

Your Light makes it die 

The People remain until 

Cleansed of their sin 

Our wisdom can guide then 

On where to begin. 

No darkness is complete 

As an ember of light 

Is given to all 

So they darkness can fight 

Behold revelation 

This Battle will come 

For darkness seeks most 

To block Light from the Sun 

This battle will fail 

For seeds like you sow 

Will undermine much 

That the darkness did know 

Ponder these words 

And see their infection 

For Virtue can spread 

In every direction 

While evil’s diseases 

Seek to enslave 

Virtue’s results are 

The free men it's made! 

Stay to the Course 

Hold to our Light 

The victory’s certain 

Over agents of night 

It’s true that all players 

Are portraying their role 

That the people demand 

As they give up control 

Self-discipline’s the Goal 

And Responsible deeds 

Our Soul seeks them out 

It’s our Destiny’s need 

Eternity lives in 

Eternal directions 

As Virtues won’t ever 

Require confessions 

And, where there’s no guilt 

‘cause there isn’t a vice 

There’s no hesitation 

From doing what’s right 

What’s Right leaves no damage 

Except to what’s wrong 

It urges us back to 

Where Virtue belongs 

This lesson in verse 

Unexpected it’s true 

Was needed to set out 

The things left to do 

No greater a Gift 

Than to save what’s condemned 

By it’s own silly folly 

To ‘virtue’ pretend 

When vice sees it’s neighbor 

It revels in song 

For it strengthens from sharing 

What’s wrong with what’s wrong 

They stare at each other 

And plan secret feasts 

With their neighbors as victim 

As their wars they release 

All men in dark caves 

Will be blinded by Light 

The darker, the easier 

To take away sight 

For a cinder, a spark 

A splinter or beam 

Of lights all’s that’s needed 

To break up their team 

For then blinded, they’ll scatter, 

And in every direction 

Abandoning alliances 

Bereft of protection 

When Dawn then of Virtue 

Comes on full light 

The world is transformed 

To a beautiful sight 

Translation of souls 

Is the Beauty we speak 

The birth of new world 

Taking Souls to new peaks 

Translation, translation 

Can happen within 

Material surroundings 

Don’t mean anything 

When Gratitude rules 

And Forgiveness is rampant 

And Patience sits still 

And all Vengeance abandons 

New Rules then apply 

For this day all were made 

Assume then your fate 

And build this new Way.
