THE VINE      

[The pursuit of Wisdom is our reading this day. We all know that we want to be wiser with our lives, but, what exactly does that mean to us? We begin to understand some of the elements of Wisdom from a Higher Perspective with this Verse. Also, we get a precious insight into what Life is and how it's dimensions are far greater than most of us would dream.] 

  Please welcome what follows 

With your Head and your Heart 

The Time has now come 

For our Journey to Start! 

These are Timeless adventures 

For Wisdom-starved minds, 

And the Knowledge descends 

Like a fruit-laden Vine. 

So, pick the fruit freely 

As much as you can 

Carry it safely 

In the palm of your hand. 

More than that’s wasteful 

And stimulates Greed 

So, take a good handful 

It’s all that you’ll need. 

For Wisdom’s not counted 

Like pieces of gold, 

It grows in it’s value 

The more that it’s told. 

And, the more that it’s shared, 

The more Spirits Lift 

For those that have fallen 

That’s its greatest GIFT. 

To those in the Darkness, 

It gives out a Light, 

That pierces the ignorant 

Darkness of Night. 

Begin with this tidbit, 

This morsel that’s True: 

That All that Exist - 

Have the same Life as You !

And, not just the People, 

But, ALL that exists, 

Animals, Plants 

Rocks, Water, Mist. 

ALL have their Spirit 

Though, some may seem dead 

Love’s the ever-connecting  

God-Thread. 

When we hold in our hands 

A leaf or a rock 

Never assume 

They’re unable to talk! 

They speak out with Color, 

With Texture and Light 

They “live” in the energy 

Of our own Eye Sight. 

And, by taking them in, 

As a part of our Thought 

We blend them & make them 

A part of our Heart. 

A part of our Heart 

That’s a part of our Soul, 

That’s a part of all Nature 

That makes up the WHOLE— 

A WHOLE that is ONE 

Though, that ONE seems like more 

An illusion confusion 

We must learn to ignore. 

So, Learn to treat ALL 

The way you’d treat YOU, 

And, You’ll find that this handful 

Of Wisdom will do. 

Savor it well 

Digest it with Time 

Before you return for
