PUPILS

 Pupils of the Lesson

[Today's theme is that all of us are a "PUPILS". We're learning great lessons about the real Nature of Ourselves and the nature of the society we find ourselves often enslaved to. These verses point the way out of the maze. It's time to "Graduate".]

The eyes that See

The ears that Hear

Draw close to me

And need not fear

Calmness draws upward

Like water from wells

Drink deeply my Friends

For a tale I must tell.

With Calmness comes Courage

With Courage comes Action

For those who act first

Do not live in re-action.

Act first, then Results

Never wait on another's

Re-action is Second

A poor cousin not brother

Society acts and

We then dance in tune

Like puppets on strings

We react to their doing.

Where would you move

If your strings were now cut?

Would you stay in your "place"?

Would you stay in your "rut"?

Who are you when others

Can't recognize your "face"?

When your True Self stands forth;

Defines Your Time and Space?

Don't look to the left

Or the right for a clue

Don't let others define

Who You are, what You do.

No mirror reflects

The True Essence of Man

Society disguises it

Best as it can.

For it fears a Man's Freedom

And flees at the thought

Of a Man Independent

Who cannot be bought.

It will always act out

And it's force will persist

Until you realize

That it doesn't exist!

A fiction of Mind

And, (demented mind that)

Mere ego attachments

Like a coat or a hat.

A free-thinking Mind

Unencumbered by care

Is in essence invisible

It's simply not "there"!

A Free Man will stand

Any time, any place

For his Soul is his Conscience

His Soul his True Face.

His movement in

Mind, Body and Spirit

Is Free, Unimpeded

There's no limit to it.

So, Calmness, drink deeply

Courage, take Action

Act First and ignore

Society's distractions.
