Greed

[There's more to Life than money and greed. We've heard that enough times. But, how come we spend so much of our lives worrying about it and could this precious time be better spent? Take a relaxing breather for a moment, step back and examine.]

Greed for glory, 

Money and fame 

Treat Wisdom and Falsehood

Exactly the same. 

Just one Dollar more 

For the great golden pile 

It hardly seems worth 

All the troubles and trials. 

And soon our Life’s Gifts 

Have all been misspent 

To buy the food 

And pay the rent. 

Far better for us 

If we stand back and see 

That our lives have more meaning 

Than mere currency. 

Appreciate Life 

In it’s everyday pleasures 

For this is the Yardstick 

With Infinite measure. 

Where our only debts LOVE 

And it’s owed us as well 

As we pay and receive it 

Our “finances” swell. 

“Bottom line” as they say 

You’re as Wealthy as me 

It’s all in the Plan 

Beyond greed to JUST BE .
